The Hampshire golf team’s win streak stretched to five following its 159-198 win against Hopkins at Westover Golf Course on Wednesday.
Medalist honors went to Raiders’ Brayden Fennessy, who shot one-over par 37, while other Hampshire (10-2) golfers who broke 45 to factor into scoring included Cole Boissonneault (40), Declan Butler (40) and Jacob Moran (42).
The Golden Hawks (3-7) kept things interesting with three golfers carding sub-50 rounds as Siddharth Parmar, Jack Rathbun and Jessica Waskiewicz all shot 49. Quinn Dufault’s round of 51 closed out Hopkins’ scorers.
South Hadley 189, Mohawk 210 — The Tigers were led by Ryley McMahon’s low round of 41 in the victory at Ledges Golf Course.
Grant Henderson (48), Mason Peters (49) and Richie Brown/Colin MacGregor (51) rounded out the scoring for South Hadley.
Easthampton 172, SICS 201 — The Eagles extended its unbeaten streak to seven in the victory at Wyckoff Country Club.
Tanner Kmetz (medalist, 39), Brady Mcginn-Stevens (43) and Amelia Gruber/Evan Kalin/Angelo Torchai (45) picked up points for Easthampton.
Boys soccer
Smith Voc 6, Mohawk 0 — The Vikings locked down a much-needed shutout, thanks to a hat trick from Josh Cole.
Hudson Gable, Zaddok Jean-Louis and Ty Sattler also scored for Smith Voc, while Nolan Bloomrose recorded three assists.
Ludlow 3, Belchertown 2 –– The Lions roared back with three goals in the second half to sink the Orioles.
Adam Stahl and Ryan Lacroix found the back of the net for Belchertown.
Girls soccer
Hopkins 8, Greenfield 2 — Dueling hat tricks from Ephie Vissas and Bridget Benoit lifted the Golden Hawks to their seventh straight win.
Avelynn Augustin and Daniella Valle-Dardano pocketed Hopkins’ other strikes, while Zoey Wojtowicz contributed three assists.
Goalkeeper Hannah Guggino-Laramie had one save for the Hawks.
Field hockey
Belchertown 1, Agawam 1 — The Orioles tied for the second game in a row, managing one goal yet again.
Jocelyn McMahon tallied Belchertown’s marker versus the Brownies, while goalie Lila Roy made 17 saves.

Cross Country
PVCICS 15 Belchertown 50; PVCICS 18 Frontier 38 (girls) — The Lady Dragons put together a dominate race that saw all their runners step up as a group.
Astrid Knyt won the race with a time of 21:50. She was one of five PVCICS runners to reach the top-6, all separated by just 19 seconds.
Eunice Lo was second at 21:55. The trio of Ella Maier (fourth, 22:05), Violet Lukens (fifth, 22:06) and Adelaide Amias (sixth, 22:09) all cross the finish line within seconds of each other.
PVCICS 23 Frontier 38; Belchertown 28 PVCICS 29 (boys) — Despite losing a tight race to Belchertown, the Dragons pulled together to split the day with a win over Frontier.
Grafton Tolopko led the team with a second place finish at a time of 16:49. Three of his teammates joined him in the top-10.
Kristof Knyt was fifth clocking in at 18:21 with Ayden Klatte was ninth with 18:46. Stephen Sims pushed to get 10th at 19:05.
Hampshire 15, Pope Francis 50 (girls) — It was a clean sweep for the Hampshire girls, who took the top-seven spots against Pope Francis.
Brooke Hockenberry won the race at 17:12. Behind her, Ada Corner (second, 17:27) and Kathleen Barry (third, 17:57) all broke 18 minutes.
The two Charlottes, Niswonger and Letendre, finished fourth (18:54) and fifth (18:58) to round out the Raiders’ scoring times.
Hampshire 20, Pope Francis 43 (boys) — Owen Cubi led a brigade of Raiders in a dominate race that saw its nine runners take second through ninth place.
Cubi took second with a time of 14:51, missing first by three seconds. Third place finisher Hobbes O’Sullivan, was not far behind him at 14:55.
Aidan Conklin (fourth, 15:40), Ben Zajac (fifth, 15:47), and Luke Pickard (sixth, 16:54) all scored for Hampshire.
Northampton 20, Central 38 (boys) — A strong run from the entire team helped Northampton defeat Springfield Central at Forest Park.
Isaiah Carnevale was the top Blue Devil and finished second overall. He was the only runner from Northampton to break 20 minutes at 18:47.
August Hindle (third, 20:10), Marcelo Flajnik-Palladino (fourth 20:16), and James Toohey (fifth, 20:24) all finished within 14 seconds of each other. Cole Mattison finished strong by beating out a Central runner by less than a second for sixth place at 20:33.
Anthony Armstrong was the top runner for Holyoke, which did not have enough runners to qualify for the team scores. Armstrong finished 13th at 22:06.
Field Hockey
South Hadley 4, Northampton 0 — The Blue Devils kept the Tigers at bay as long as they could, but a trio of fourth quarter goals vaulted South Hadley to its third win of the season.
Lily Harrington scored the first goal of the game during a corner play that resulted in a pass from Ella Faber.
Neither team scored until the fourth quarter, where Sam Harrison scored back-to-back goals for South Hadley. Quinn Carlson added a goal to close out the game.
Goalkeeper Abby Xu made 13 saves for Northampton.
