PINE STREET CLOSING:  A section of Pine Street will be closed daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., beginning Wednesday, as the Department of Public Works completes the rebuilding of the road.

The project, between the intersections with State Street and Sand Hill Road, includes putting loam and seed along the edges of the road and installing accessible crosswalk ramps.

Work will last between one and two weeks.

All traffic will be detoured onto State Street and Sand Hill Road, with residents who need to access their homes facing minor delays.

Anyone with questions may call the DPW at 259-3050 or email publicworks@amherstma.gov.
