Chicopee, MA – Paul Ducharme, 57, of Chicopee, passed away unexpectedly on Friday October 9, 2026, while on vacation with his family in Florida. He was born in Northampton on December 19, 1968, to the late Shelley Ducharme and to Bernard Motyka of Hatfield.
After graduating from Smith Vocational High School, he worked for 28 years as a purchasing manager for The Darcy Company. Paul enjoyed all sports, knew them well, and was an avid golfer who played whenever he could. He loved his two cats, trips to the beach, cruising, and caring for Kaitlyn and Karissa, whom he treated as his own children.
He is survived by his fiancée, Kristen Lambert of Chicopee, his father, Bernard Motyka and his wife Darla of Hatfield, sisters, Tammy Venne and her husband Tom of Holyoke, and Brittni Motyka of Brooklyn, NY, stepdaughters, Kaitlyn and Karissa Lambert both of Chicopee, niece, Felicia Venne, and nephews, William Ducharme and Jaxson Venne, his best friend Patrick Ryan of Westfield, many cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends.
Besides his mother Shelley, he was also predeceased by his sister, Shannon Lessard.
Calling hours will be Tuesday November 10, 2026, from 4-6 PM at the DROZDAL FUNERAL HOME, 120 DAMN RD., NORTHAMPTON. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
