Atop Mount Pollux

Mount Pollux Conservation Area, Middle Street, Amherst

Photograph and text by Rosemary Polletta, Springfield

One Saturday last month, I had spent the better part of the early morning with friends attempting to capture the setting Hunter’s Moon from the top of Mount Pollux in Amherst. As I was heading back to the car, I turned around and saw the morning light from the rising sun hitting the trees that sit at the top of mount and had to capture the brilliant light reflecting off of them.

Done with a tripod mounted DSLR and a zoom lens.
