Danielle McGan hit a three-run homer in the second inning to help the Hampshire Regional softball team cruise past Holyoke on Thursday in Holyoke.
The Raiders (14-0, 4-0 Suburban) haven’t lost this season.
Alexis Ferris won another in the circle, giving up one hit and striking out 11. She also had two hits and two RBIs at the plate.
One of the hits was a triple for Ferris. The Raiders had 13 hits as a team.
Chelsea Moussette went 3-for-5 with two RBIs for Hampshire.
Gateway 10, Renaissance 0 — Audrey Gamble went the distance in the circle, earning a shutout with seven strikeouts in the road win for the Gators (3-10)
Gamble helped her own cause at the plate, with two hits and two RBIs.
Chelsea Edinger went 2-for-4 with a RBI and three runs scored for Gateway.
Palmer 8, Easthampton 3 — Stephanie Therrien had a triple and two RBIs but the Eagles (8-6) lost on the road.
Olivia Downer, Sydney Slattery and Sammy Sypek all singled for Easthampton.
Belchertown 16, St. Mary 1 – Grant Irving scored four goals with two assists, Ray Langevin added four goals and an assist in a road win.
Jaxon Royal added three goals, while Christian Assimus made three saves for the Orioles (5-6, 4-3 Suburban).
Tantasqua 6, Northampton 5 – Matt Huggett scored three goals in a close home loss.
Tantasqua put the winner in with 3 minutes, 26 seconds to go.
Henry Attias had two goals for Northampton (8-5), while Bryce Wall made 14 saves.
Granby 24, St. Mary 4 – Kate Sarnacki accumulated 14 points with 10 goals and four assists in a road win.
Emily Whitacre added six goals and an assist, and Hailey O’Connor scored three times for Granby (7-4, 6-1 Pioneer).
Mya Fillion made seven saves and didn’t allow a goal in the second half.
Minnechaug 17, South Hadley 5 — Briana Couture had two goals and an assist but the Tigers (3-11 0-6 Valley Wheel) lost at home.
Marley Medina added a goals and three assists while Hanna Kopec made three saves in net.
Agawam 13, Northampton 6 — The Blue Devils lost for the second time this season to the Brownies at home.
Abby Baldwin and Sophie Melcher both had three goals for Northampton.
Baldwin, a sophomore, went over 100 points in her career in the game.
Bridget Harrington made 10 saves for the Blue Devils (9-3, 2-3 Valley Wheel).
Westfield 15, Belchertown 11 — Emma Jopson had seven goals for the Orioles in a losing effort on the road.
Kate Bowers added 5 assists for Belchertown (5-8).
Elise Pikul scored her first career goal for the Orioles.
Goalie Kailey Pacheco made 10 saves
Hampshire Regional 9, Palmer 5 – Matt York led the Raiders with three hits and an RBI in a home win.
Max Weir also had two hits, scored a run and drove in another for Hampshire (5-4, 3-2 Bi-County South).
Garett Kowal picked up the win on the mound and kept Palmer off the basepaths until his pitch count elevated in the sixth inning.
Northampton 13, South Hadley 5 — Devin Kellogg made the most of his chance to play on Cooperstown’s Doubleday Field.
In the shadow of the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Hamp sophomore had three hits, two runs and two RBIs.
Will O’Connor (two runs, RBI) and Tyler McCullamore (two runs) each had two hits for the Blue Devils.
Colin Paleolgopolous and Justin Kleeburg each had a hit, a run and an RBI for South Hadley.
Belchertown 3, Ware 0 – Anthony Hosmer fired 19 kills, while Drew Duquette added 20 assists in a 25-10, 25-19, 25-10 home win.
Matthew Perkins added two blocks for the Orioles (6-10).
Kingswood Oxford 6, Williston 1 – Abbie Foster and Caroline Borden won in doubles play, but the Wildcats (7-3) fell on the road.
