Narcissists like Mr. Trump get their egos entangled with the office they hold. He thinks that what is good for himself must be good for the whole country. He may represent the nation, but he should not be confused that he is the White House, the country and the flag embodied. Mr. Trump is but a temporary resident of the People’s House.
So Mr. Trump should keep his twitter hands off our women’s soccer team, and Megan Rapinoe in particular. She objects to him personally. His attitudes about and behaviors toward women are predatory and disgusting. Her objections have nothing to do with the White House, our country or our flag. In fact, those are the very symbols and institutions that he dishonors with his base ego and countless lies.
