Artemis Demas Roehrig and Colin James Hill were married June 11 at the Lord Jeffery Inn in Amherst. The ceremony was officiated by Justice of the Peace Dennis Helmus.
A reception at the inn followed.
The bride is the daughter of Corinne Demas and Matthew Roehrig of Amherst, and the granddaughter of the late Nicholas C. Demas of Amherst.
The groom is the son of Lee Ann Sullivan of Salisbury, Connecticut and Gary Hill of Hinsdale, Illinois.
The groomsmen were Adam Hill and Michael Lau. The bridesmaids were Allison van der Velden and Samantha Fantana. The flower girls were Morgan Electra Bliss-VanDeurse, Devon Carolina Bliss-VanDeurse, Ariadne Demas Hill and Demetria Demas Hill. The usher was Austin Bliss.
The bride is a graduate of Amherst Regional High School and Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, where she was a Filene Scholar. She received a master’s degree in organismic and evolutionary biology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
The groom is a graduate of Hinsdale Central High School in Hinsdale, Illinois, and Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. He is an actuary with Guardian Life in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
The couple will reside in the Amherst area.
