No injuries after car fire in Southampton

SOUTHAMPTON — Firefighters responded to a car fire shortly after 5 p.m. on Wednesday at 167 Glendale Road. There were no injuries, according to a post on the Southampton Fire Department’s Facebook post.

When they arrived, Southampton firefighters found a sedan with the engine compartment fully in flames. Crews were able to put out the fire before it spread beyond the engine. The driver was able to safely get out of the vehicle before firefighters arrived.

Southampton Police assisted with the call.
