Kayla Werlin: Applauds McGovern’s stance on book bans

Dear Representative (Jim) McGovern: Thank you for your column supporting libraries and opposing the banning of books. At a time when our young people see such horrible examples of leadership, your voice of strength and reason is a model for standing firmly behind your values without denigrating or belittling others. Your choice to read from “The Life of Rosa Parks” on the House floor, rather than fling insults, shows who you are.

I feel fortunate that yours is the voice representing me in Washington. Please know that while some may attack you, I could not be more proud to be in your district. Thank you for all you do for us and our country.
