The closer this country comes to Election Day, the more vitriolic and divisive Donald Trump’s speeches, internet posts and interview responses become. Unfortunately, his ardent supporters are emulating his antagonistic behavior by appearing at rallies decked out in MAGA swag, Trump merchandise and yelling, gesticulating and venting their anger posing as enthusiasm for their leader. Those smiling, laughing, clapping and adoring MAGA attendees are expressing their own fury and grievances by their unmitigated approval of every vile and threatening utterance from Trump.

His stream of consciousness, parading as political rhetoric, is in reality the demonstration of a lifetime of grievances Trump has accumulated against every person who was dismissive of, or disrespectful, to him. Is it really worth destroying the American system of governance to assuage a damaged ego and hunger for revenge?
