Greenfield Co-op Bank promotes, adds to staff

GREENFIELD – Greenfield Cooperative Bank has promoted Jim Alexander to senior vice president, government banking and treasury management, and hired Debbie Esposito as senior vice president, business banking officer.

In his new role, Alexander will oversee the bank’s government banking and treasury management services, providing strategic leadership and driving growth in these key areas.

Alexander has worked at Greenfield Co-op for nine years, having started as vice president, commercial loans. Prior to his promotion, he served as vice president, government banking and treasury management, where he demonstrated leadership, expertise, and a deep understanding of the unique needs of government clients.

Alexander holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York and has nearly 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.

In her role, Esposito will be instrumental in driving the bank’s growth and development within the Franklin, Hampshire, and Hampden County markets. With over two decades in the financial industry, Esposito brings a wealth of expertise in business, commercial and cash management solutions.

Prior to joining Greenfield Cooperative Bank, she served as vice president of cash management sales for PeoplesBank and vice president, senior treasury management relationship manager for Citizens Bank.

Esposito will be responsible for promoting financial solutions in partnership with commercial lending, government banking and retail. She will also play a key role in implementing marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and strengthen the bank’s presence in the community.

Esposito holds a bachelor of arts in communications, public relations and marketing from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater and a nonprofit certification with a financial focus from the University of St. Thomas (Minnesota).

SPRINGFIELD – Peter Pan Bus Lines, a family-owned company that has been in business for nearly 100 years, and Megabus have announced a partnership that will result in Peter Pan taking over all the Megabus routes in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic states.

Peter Pan will now operate those routes 24/7, including service to Washington, D.C., Baltimore, White Marsh, and Philadelphia and connecting passengers to the 100 destinations the company already serves.

In a recent interview, Peter A. Picknelly, chairman and CEO of Peter Pan Bus Lines, noted, “We’re modernizing our fleet, which is what our consumers want; they want a nice, clean, modern bus. We listen to our customers — where they want to go — and expand where it makes sense.”

In preparation, Peter Pan has reduced fares by close to 40%, hired 75 new drivers, and purchased 45 new buses. The entire fleet of Peter Pan modern buses includes better-designed seats, video, and Wi-Fi. The company has also relaunched its app, enabling passengers to easily book their trips in advance and feature its PERKs program, where users can earn free travel.

OMG INC. to host open house
