Nomination papers in Hatfield available for May election

HATFIELD — Residents interested in running for elective office at the May 20 town election can pick up nomination papers at Memorial Town Hall weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except Wednesdays.

Following are the positions that will be on the ballot, the length of terms and the incumbents.

Select Board, three years, Diana Szynal; School Committee, three years, Adam Sullivan; Planning Board, five years, Stephanie Slysz; and Board of Assessors, three years, Stanley Pitchko Jr.

Also, Board of Health, three years, Robert Osley; Cemetery Commission, three years Robert Flaherty Jr.; Elector under the Oliver Smith Will, one year, Lydia Szych; Housing Authority, five years, Christopher Smith; and Library trustees, three years, Kathleen Sheehan;

A vacant three-year position on the Housing Authority and a vacant five-year position on the Redevelopment Authority are available, as well.
