Tuesday’s high schools: South Hadley boys lacrosse falls against Minnechaug

Jason Fernandes and Stephen Stratton totaled three points each in a 14-7 loss to Minnechaug for the South Hadley boys lacrosse team Tuesday.

Fernandes had a goal and two assists, while Stratton scored twice with an assist in the home game.

Marcus Larrier notched two goals, while Shane Smith and Liam Dawson both found the net.

Corey Calkins made six saves, and Jaycee Rondeau stopped one shot for South Hadley (0-2).

West Springfield 16, Granby 2 — Brad Taft made seven saves for the Rams in a season-opening loss.

Drew Wiesel and Doug L’Abbee both scored, while Collin Strearns had an assist for Granby (0-1).

Chicopee Comp 10, Belchertown 4 — Ray Langevin scored twice for the Orioles in a road loss.

Grant Irving added two points with a goal and an assist, while Adam Wordsworth found the net.
