The UMass men’s basketball team will play at West Virginia on Nov. 8 in the first week of the 2024-25 season. The first day the NCAA allows games is Nov. 4.

UMass held on to beat West Virginia 87-79 last year on Dec. 16 at the MassMutual Center in the Basketball Hall of Fame Classic. UMass has not traveled to the WVU Coliseum since a 90-77 loss in the 2007 NIT.

This will be just the third time the Mountaineers and Minutemen have played since West Virginia left the Atlantic 10 in 1995. The two schools played 40 times from 1972-1995.
