EASTHAMPTON — Carol’s Jazz Night is back, and CitySpace has announced the upcoming stars of the Blue Room: The Argiro Quintet and the Rich Goldstein Quartet.

Jazz vocalist Carol Abbe Smith welcomes community members into CitySpace’s Blue Room at 43 Main St. this Wednesday for a performance by the Argiro Quintet. The Quintet is led by Springfield native, James Argiro, who has arranged, produced, and composed music for artists such as Frank Sinatra Jr. and Barbara Streisand.

The Quintet also features Mario DeCiutiis, former principal percussionist for the Radio City Music Hall orchestra; Rich Goldstein, guitarist and educator at Hartford’s Hartt School of Music; and bassist Jason Schwartz. Finally, they will be joined by Tido Holtcamp, who drums for several regional groups.

The group replicates the style of the George Shearing Quintet as well as performing original compositions by Argiro.

On June 6, Carol’s Jazz Night will feature the Rich Goldstein Quartet. The Quartet is led by Rich Goldstein, who has performed with many musicians including Andy Laverne, Charles Flores, Steve Davis, and Houston Person and appeared at a number of jazz festivals including Birdland and The Jazz Gallery. The Quartet also includes Jesse Hameen II on drums, Kris Jensen on saxophone, and Brian Charette on the organ.

Both performances will take place in the CitySpace Blue Room at Old Town Hall. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and music will begin at 7:30 p.m. For both events, tickets will be $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Advance tickets are available at cityspaceeasthampton.org. The Blue Room bar will be open for both events as well.
