DEERFIELD - The selectmen are a step closer to selling the concrete block building on the former Oxford Foods pickle factory site on Jewett Avenue.

The building is being used for storage by the Highway Department.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The U.S. government is preparing a safety warning about baby slings - those popular and fashionable infant carriers that parents can sling around their chests to carry their baby.

The concern: Infants can suffocate, and at least a few have.
