The Northampton Post 28 Legion baseball team got back on the right track in its 10-2 win over West Springfield Post 207 at Arcanum Field on Wednesday night.

Two days after suffering a 18-2 defeat in its season-opener against Greenfield Post 81, Harry LaFlamme’s three-hitter brought Northampton’s record back even at 1-1.

LaFlamme went all seven innings on the bump and added seven strikeouts in the victory for the hosts.

James Lavallee pounded three hits for Post 28, including a two-bagger as well as an RBI base-knock.

Jeremiah Scanlon-Deanย (triple) and Pat Millen added a pair of hits for Northampton, which returns to the diamond against Aldenville Post 337 on Friday

First pitch at Szot Park is set for 7:30 p.m.
