QUIT SMOKING CLASS: A free eight-week workshop designed to help people quit smoking will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Municipal Building.
The class will help quitting smokers understand more about when and why they smoke, consider the pros and cons of quitting and more.
The class is open to all area residents. It will be led by Sandra Mande. People may register by calling the Easthampton Health Department at 529-1430 or emailing health2@easthampton.org.
TOWN GOP MEETING: The Southampton Republican Town Committee will meet at the Edwards Library at 7 p.m. Monday to reorganize.

FISHER HOME CONVERSATIONS: The next in a monthly series of conversations at the Hospice of the Fisher Home in Amherst will be from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the hospice’s living room.
This month, in recognition of Women’s History Month, Barbara Jenkins will speak about Ellen Fisher, founder in 1906 of the Amherst Home for Aged Women, a charitable residence for needy women, which, in recent years has become the Hospice of the Fisher Home.
