QUIT SMOKING CLASS: A free eight-week workshop designed to help people quit smoking will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Municipal Building.
The class will help quitting smokers understand more about when and why they smoke, consider the pros and cons of quitting and more.
The class is open to all area residents. It will be led byย Sandra Mande. People mayย register by calling the Easthampton Health Department at 529-1430 or emailing health2@easthampton.org.
TOWN GOP MEETING: The Southampton Republican Town Committee will meet at the Edwards Library at 7 p.m.ย Monday to reorganize.

FISHER HOME CONVERSATIONS: The next in a monthly series of conversations at the Hospice of the Fisher Home inย Amherst will be from 2:30 to 4 p.m.ย Sundayย in the hospiceโs living room.
This month, in recognition of Womenโs History Month, Barbara Jenkins will speak aboutย Ellen Fisher, founder in 1906 of the Amherst Home for Aged Women, a charitableย residence for needy women, which, in recent years has become the Hospice of the Fisherย Home.
