A nine-run sixth inning helped the Amherst College baseball team beat Mitchell, 12-8, Monday in Fort Myers, Florida.
Amherst (4-0) had eight hits in the inning.
Frostburg 15, Smith College 4; Smith College 8, Becker 6 — The Pioneers split a pair in Clermont, Florida.
In the Game 1 loss, Sarah Tully had two hits and an RBI for Smith (2-3).
Tully added two more hits, including a double, in the win against Becker. Caroline Kushner had two hits and drove in two runs for the Pioneers.
Natalie Burchat picked up the win in the circle for Smith College, allowing three earned runs and five hits.
