An intoxicated man recklessly pushing a shopping cart in the aisles at Big Y supermarket, 175 University Drive, at 8:52 p.m. Wednesday, fled after grabbing the tie worn by a manager who had warned him about his behavior. Police were unable to find the man.
A man discovered sleeping in the lower level of the Jones Library, bothering other patrons by snoring, was removed from the 43 Amity St. building at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday. He was advised not to return to the library for the rest of the day.
