In the decades since their debut, the Northampton-based Winterpills have become nationally known and garnered much critical acclaim for what The New York Times calls their “haunted songs” and “elegant arrangements” and USA Today cites as their “lush, off-kilter pop-rock in which nothing makes sense but everything sounds wondrous.”
Last week, the quintet of Philip Price, Flora Reed, Dennis Crommett, Dave Hower and Max Germer released their new album, “Love Songs”— their first in four years — and it’s been hailed as “full of those gorgeous chamber-pop songs the band has perfected over the course of their six-album career.”
Set to be on tour for much of the remaining year, The band will be performing back-to-back CD-release shows Thursday and Friday at The Parlor Room at Signature Sounds in Northampton. Thursday’s show runs 7-10 p.m.; Friday’s 8-11 p.m. Admission is $15 advance, $18 at the door. signaturesoundspresents.com
