Mia Haughton, Rachel Passarelli and Kate Wyeth scored three goals each for the Amherst College women’s lacrosse team in an 8-3 win over Springfield on Wednesday.
AC built a 4-0 lead at halftime with two goals each from Passarelli and Wyeth.
Julia Crerend and Claire Cagnassola scored the other two times for Amherst.
Christy Forrest made five saves in the Amherst (4-1) net and led the way with five groundballs.
Western New England 14, Mount Holyoke 6 — Julia Bell found the net four times in a home loss.
Charlotte Wagner and Molly Dunphy also scored for Mount Holyoke (1-3).
Isa Rodriguez stopped seven shots for the Lyons.
Westfield State 12-14, Bay Path 2-0 — Rachel Sheehan (Florence) was 2 for 2 with three RBIs and two runs for the Owls (4-8) in the Game 2 shutout.
Marissa Sarna-McCarthy (Westhampton) and Jailinne Ruiz (Hadley) each had a hit and an RBI for the Wildcats (2-10).
