Endicott 4, Amherst 3; Amherst 7, Endicott 3 — Harry Roberson, Ariel Kenney and Anthony Spina each had two hits in a Game 1 loss, while Sam Ellinwood was 3 for 5 with a home run and four RBIs in Game 2 for Amherst (9-2) at home Saturday.
UMass 3, Fordham 2; Fordham 4, UMass 0 — Taylor Carbone homered and doubled, while Meg Colleran struck out two, walked two and scattered seven hits over seven innings in Game 1 for the Minutewomen (7-18, 1-2 Atlantic 10) Saturday.
Rhode Island placed first in four events — Varsity 4, Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8 and Third Varsity8 — to outlast UMass on the Connecticut River in Hadley, Saturday.
Mount Holyoke opened its 2016 season on Saturday, competing at the Sportsman’s Marina in Hadley against boats from Franklin Pierce and Massachusetts Maritime Academy.

UMass Show — Mount Holyoke senior Suyin Tauntin (Amherst) placed first on Novice Flat and was second on Intermediate Fences as the Lyons placed first with 44 points on Saturday.
UMass (27) was second followed by Smith College (24).
