The National Weather Service is predicting that the day’s rain will last into the evening with between a quarter to a half of an inch of precipitation to fall.

Estimates are that the rain will last until at least 4 p.m. with a chance it will fall until 7 p.m.

Monday’s high temperature in Northampton will be 44 degrees with a low of 37 degrees at night.

A wind advisory will take effect in the evening and last through most of the day Tuesday. The weather service predicts 15 to 20 mph winds after midnight, with gusts as high as 41 mph.

Tuesday will be partly sunny with a high temperature of 48 in Northampton and northwest winds of 20 to 23 mph and gusts up to 40 mph.
