Police are investigating a break-in reported at an apartment at Aspen Chase, 615 Main St., at 1:12 a.m. Monday in which the resident returned to his unlocked home and discovered a television set, $700 in cash and an iPad were stolen.
Travis L. Turner, 26, of Springfield, was arrested at 1:04 a.m. Sunday outside the CVS Pharmacy, 76 North Pleasant St., on a charge of disorderly conduct, police said.
Police took reports from a woman who said Turner made a threatening motion to pull a knife from his pocket, while a man said Turner threatened to pull a gun. Police found no evidence Turner had any weapons in his possession.
Shearammisha Shear-Yashuv, 21, of Waltham, was arrested at 2:10 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of North Pleasant Street and Massachusetts Avenue on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle to endanger and failure to stay within marked lanes.
Stephen L. Hyland, 32, of East Otis, was arrested at 6:13 p.m. Saturday after a traffic stop on Park Street on charges of not having an inspection sticker and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked license.
J. Andrew World, 38, of 34 Pleasant St. Apt. O, was arrested at 12:58 p.m. Friday on a warrant at the Emily Williston Memorial Library.
Juan Antonio Avila-Arevalo, 37, of Springfield, was arrested after a traffic stop on Union Street at noon Friday on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked license and a crosswalk violation.
A 31-year-old Easthampton man will be summoned to court on a charge of shoplifting by concealing merchandise after an incident at Union Package Store at 7:38 p.m. Wednesday.
Colleen M. Gray, 39, 38 Myrtle St., Apt. 1, was arrested at 2:58 p.m. Sunday on warrants issued by Chelsea and Northampton district courts on charges of shoplifting and driving with a suspended license, respectively. Police said Gray was arrested after an accident at State and Myrtle streets in which she backed into another vehicle. She was charged with an additional count of driving with a suspended license.
