Why South Hadley should support CPA on April 12

At the April 12 Town Election, South Hadley voters should support the Community Preservation Act for all the ways that it will address community needs.

Here are some: The Gaylord Library needs renovations and would qualify for CPA funding (historic preservation); the Senior Center needs upgrading or relocation and would qualify for CPA funding (recreation); CPA funding could support development of more affordable housing units; major trail development going on now could have been covered by CPA funding (open space); and the schools could benefit from CPA funding for athletic fields, bleachers and other capital needs.

CPA funding actually relieves taxes by blending state monies with local assessments and extending our purchase power on projects we would all want to see in South Hadley.

Vote yes for CPA on April 12!
