HI! My name is David.I like to play card games!
David is a positive, friendly and caring 16-year-old boy of Caucasian and Hispanic descent.
He has been through a lot in his young life but has still managed to keep his kind and endearing smile.
David is now newly considered to be in remission from Leukemia and is enjoying just being a kid again. He is currently attending school with the support of an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) to help support his educational needs.
He enjoys school and doing his assignments. His work is said to be very neat and legible.
Some of his interests are that he loves Disney characters and fashion.
He has fun playing card games, doing arts and crafts, and playing with matchbox cars with his peers and staff.
David would do best in a family whether it is a single parent or a two-parent family as long as they are supportive of him. His caseworker feels he would do best being the only child or youngest child in the home.
Most of all David needs a family that is committed to him and will celebrate his successes and milestones with him!
There are approximately 2,400 children in Massachusetts foster care with the goal of adoption. Through no fault of their own, they cannot be raised by their birth parents. Many will be adopted by a relative or foster parent, but more than 600 have no one to adopt them yet.
These waiting children are usually older, ages 6 to 16, or sibling groups who belong together, children of color of all ages, and children with intellectual, physical or emotional difficulties or disabilities. These children have experienced many losses and changes in their lives, and need patient and dependable adoptive parents who can help them grow and thrive in their new family. Free post-adoption support services are available to help.
