Bill Newman’s column in the April 2 Gazette, “The world is watching GOP 2016,” needs to be commended.
Not wishing to compare, however, lest we forget the outcome of such a personality whose beliefs were supported by millions, only to destroy millions of lives. We have become an embarrassment to the rest of the world in supporting the GOP primary candidates in 2016.
Yes, there are a great deal of improvements we could make. But when will our country and our representatives come together and remember we are one nation, under God?
