Ben Magarian added three goals three assists for the Orioles (1-1) in Belchertown.
Ryan McCarthy made 12 saves for Belchertown.
Chicopee 12, Granby 3 — Bailey Ortensi, Jack Sarnacki and Nick Roberts each scored a goal for the Rams.
Hunter Scott had nine saves for the Rams (0-2, 0-1 Suburban League).
Northampton 12, East Longmeadow 6 — Three goals each from Henry Attias and Luke Melcher help seal the victory for the Blue Devils.
Matt Huggett, Tyler Allcroft and Henry Higgins all scored twice for Northampton (2-2, 1-1 Valley League).
Bryce Wall had six saves in the win.
Minnechaug 22, Amherst 4 — Willy Wright scored four times, but the Hurricanes lost on the road.
Jake Hibbard made eight saves for Amherst (1-4).
Westfield 19, Amherst Regional 8 — Meghan Sharick contributed six goals to eclipse 100 for her career at Amherst.
Sharick added two interceptions and four ground balls for the Hurricanes (1-3, 0-2 Valley League).
Malia MacDonald scored two goals and three assists, while Savannah Robinson made 18 saves in the cage.
Chicopee 14, Granby 7 — Tied 5-5 at the break, the Rams were outscored 9-2 in the second half en route to the loss.
Kate Sarnacki had four goals and Emily Whitacre added three for the Rams (2-1).
Mya Fillion had 10 saves in defeat.
Hampshire 5, Monson 2 — Ben Fitzpatrick struck out six and allowed four hits in the complete-game shutout for the Raiders (3-0, 2-0 Bi-County South).
Eight out of nine batters reached base on a hit for Hampshire.
Smith Vocational 18, Pioneer Christian 3— Three RBIs from Hunter Brooks and a 10 strikeout performance by Kevin Wackerbarth highlighted the Vikings’ victory.
Brandon Wendolowski, Stone Mitchell and Mason Lewis each scored three runs for the Vikings (2-2, 2-1 Tri-County).
East Longmeadow 3, Northampton 1 — The Blue Devils ran into a familiar face on the mound in former Northampton resident and current Spartan senior Christian Romero.
Romero’s combination of tough breaking balls and fastballs kept the Devils (1-1) off balance all game.
Romero logged a complete game with 14 strikeouts and no walks, giving up two hits to sophomore Devin Kellogg (run).
South Hadley 3, Chicopee 1 — Adam Pilachowski allowed three hits and one run over four innings and junior Ryan Mooney allowed one hit in three innings of relief for the save as the Tigers (2-1) won on the road.
Mario Oliveira and David Pratt each had two hits in the win.
Putnam 3, Smith Vocational 0 — Jake Wilson-Martineau led the Vikings in blocks (three), digs (10), assists (four), and kills (six) but the Beavers won the match 25-14, 25-13, 25-20.
Wendell Padilla-Garcia added seven digs and three aces in the season opener for Smith Voke.
