SOUTH HADLEY — A Massachusetts State Police bomb squad responded Friday evening to a South Hadley bank after receiving a report of a “suspicious package,” police said.
South Hadley and state police, including the bomb squad, arrived at TD Bank, 460 Newton St., just before 7 p.m.
Police said investigators were still not clear about the nature of the device or its origin, but nobody was injured.
The scene was cleared by 9 p.m., and the incident remains under investigation.
