A 2003 graduate of Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado, Hubbell uses scalp acupuncture which combines Eastern practices with Western knowledge.

Menopause expert
to speak in Greenfield
Lynnette Sievert, professor of anthropology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and member of the board of trustees of the North American Menopause Society, will lead a discussion on menopause and sexuality Sunday at 3 p.m., at Adam & Eve, 18 Main St, Greenfield.
The presentation will take a bicultural perspective, drawing on case studies from Sievert’s research, to examine how people experience sexuality in mid-life and beyond.
The talk is free and LGBTQ friendly. It is open to all, including men, seeking to learn more about sexuality and aging. For more information, call 774-9800.
Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton is offering a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program, which begins April 26 and runs through June 14.
The program consists of Tuesday evening classes, which run from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in the Dakin Conference Room. There also is an all-day retreat set for June 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The cost is $400.
Participants will be given instruction in mediation methods that include body scan meditation, gentle stretching and sitting, and walking meditation.
They will also learn about informal mindfulness practices that help reduce anxiety and assess habits.
The classes are run by Jeanie Erlbaum who is a certified yoga, meditation, and stress-reduction instructor.

Free Program on Dementia
The Alzheimer’s Association of Watertown will host a free workshop to cover the basics on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias May 5 at 12 p.m., at the Westhampton Congregational United Church of Christ, 1 Tob Hill Road, Westhampton.
The workshop will provide an overview of Alzheimer’s and related dementias, cover the benefits of early detection, outline causes and risk factors, explain treatment and introduce services offered by the Alzheimer’s Association.
