Tyler Vishaway scored in the second inning and Brandon Bennett pitched a two-hitter as the Easthampton baseball team beat Greenfield, 1-0, at home.
Vishaway (2 for 3) doubled in the second inning and scored from third base when Greenfield’s catcher tried to throw out a runner stealing second.
The Eagles (3-2) gave the Green Wave (5-1) their first loss of the season.
Bennett struck out four and walked one in the complete game.
Westfield Tech 6, Smith Vocational 3 — A four-run fourth for the Tigers extended their lead to 5-0 en route to the win in Westfield.
The Vikings (3-5, 3-3 Tri-County) left 11 runners on base.
Matt Hewes finished 1 for 3 with an RBI and run scored in defeat.
Frontier 3, Mahar 2 (8) — Brandon Bryant hit an RBI single in extra innings to give the Red Hawks (7-0) the road win.
Kyle Spencer singled and stole second to get in scoring position for Bryant.
Noah Barnes pitched six innings and didn’t give up run.
Evan Bourque pitched a perfect eighth inning to pick up the save for Frontier.
Belchertown 3, Pioneer 0 — Jackson Dziel, Jonathan Ingram and Jack Kamins (2 for 3, walk) each scored in the third inning for the Orioles (3-2).
Johnny Camerota struck out six, walked two and allowed three hits in the complete-game victory.
Granby 13, Southwick 12 — Matt Bleakley hit a three-run homer to help the Rams win on the road.
He finished 4 for 4 with five runs scored and three RBIs for Granby (6-2).
“There’s nothing he can’t do right now,” Granby coach Jim Woods said. “He’s absolutely on fire.”
Ben Rokowski and Mike Sosa both had two hits and an RBI, while Noah Bleakley drove in three runs.
