CHESTERFIELD – There are no contested races in Chesterfield’s annual town election Monday.

Polls will be open from noon to 8 p.m. in the Davenport Building at 422 Main Road.

The following candidates are running unopposed for reelection: Robert W. Recos, 49 Sugar Hill Road, Select Board, three-year term; Edward Severance, 199 Main Road, assessor, three-year term; Kirke R. Henshaw, 130 Cummington Road, Board of Health, three-year term; Charles Valencik, 75 Smith Road, Planning Board, three-year term; Recos, Hampshire County councilor, three-year term; and Matthew Smith, East Street, constable, three-year term.

Running for open seats: Russell J. Peotter, 120 South St., moderator, three-year term; and Eileen McGowan, library trustee, three-year term.

And there are no candidates on the ballot for these open positions: Planning Board, three-year term; School Committee for Chesterfeild/Goshen, three-year term; Hampshire County Regional School Committee, one three-year term and one two-year term.
