THE KINDEST CUT

Artist Mike Metzger calls his exhibit of 30 new collages at the Cushman Market & Café “Pioneer Valley’s Penultimate Pasha of Paste-Ups.” Metzger, whose irreverent, social-commentary work places pictures of iconic cultural icons in unlikely places, is better than merely clever: he’s an astute political and social satirist, although at times, he is rather enigmatic (He compares his work, for example, to the blueberry pancakes served at the café). The show’s on the walls Saturday through June 30 at 491 North Pine St. in North Amherst. cushmanmarket.com
