I THINK THAT MAYBE I’M DREAMING

That’s a line from a 1967 song by the Byrds, “Renaissance Fair,” that’s all about the spice and color associated with those festivals (“Maids pass gracefully in laughter / Wine-colored flowers in their hair”). Sunday, that color and pageantry — sword fights, juggling, magic tricks, historical dance and music — is on tap from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Renaissance Festival at the Massachusetts Center for Interdisciplinary Renaissance Studies, 650 East Pleasant St., Amherst. Free.

French-Algerian acoustic guitarist Pierre Bensusan cut his first album in 1975, when he was just 18, and he hasn’t slowed down yet. He’s at The Parlor Room in Northampton Tuesday at 7 p.m. signaturesoundspresents.com
