Anthony Hosmer tallied 29 kills and three aces as the Belchertown boys volleyball team beat Smith Vocational 25-16, 25-18, 23-25, 25-22 in Northampton Friday.

Drew Duquette added 28 assists and nine aces for Belchertown (3-7).

Wendell Padilla-Garcia powered the Vikings (0-3) with 14 kills, 10 digs, six aces and five assists.

Jake Wilson-Martineau added 15 digs, 15 assists, seven blocks and four kills.

Malcolm Reyes-Stoneham had 16 digs for the Vikings.

Boys ultimate

Amherst 15, Northampton 8 — The Blue Devils stayed close early, but the Hurricanes ran away with a win on the road.

Sylvan Norris, Sam Mescon, and Amiel Hanley had two goals each for Northampton.

Zach Levitt led Northampton with three assists.

Girls lacrosse

Amherst 10, Chicopee Comp 5 — The Hurricanes led throughout in a home win.

Meghan Sharick scored four goals for Amherst (2-7) while Gianna Catalano netted three.

Taya Mathers had four saves in net for the Hurricanes.

West Springfield 13, Belchertown 9 — Audrey Duhaime scored six goals in a road loss for the Orioles.

Emma Jopson added three points on two assists and a goal, while Kate Bowers scored and assisted on another one.

Kailey Pacheco stopped five shots for Belchertown (3-4, 1-1 Valley).

East Longmeadow 13, South Hadley 7 — Marley Medina scored five goals for the Tigers (2-5), while Emma Slysz added two goals and an assist.

Hanna Kopec made 13 saves for the Tigers.

The Spartans (5-3) score eight goals in the first half.

Loomis Chaffee 12, Williston 11 — The Wildcats lost a close one in a battle of undefeated teams on the road.

Olivia Bonavita led Williston (8-1) with three goals.

Boys lacrosse

Pope Francis 17, Granby 6 — Matt Delona scored eight goals and had three assists for the Cardinals (7-3).

Sawyer Mahan had three goals for the Rams (2-4, 1-1 Suburban League), while Collin Stearns, Jack Sarnacki and Bailey Ortensi each had one.

Nick Albers had 20 saves for Granby.

South Hadley 15, East Longmeadow 10 — Jason Fernandes led the way with four goals, two assists and four ground balls for the Tigers (3-6).

Griffen Fitzell added three goals and two assists.

Corey Calkins made 15 saves in the win.
