Seven first-place finishes helped the UMass women’s track and field team win the UNH Pre-Conference Meet on Saturday.
The Minutewomen topped the field with 155 points in Durham, New Hampshire.
Bridget Deveau topped the 400-meter hurdles in 1 minute, 3.03 seconds.
Colleen Sands won the 3,000m steeplechase in 11:04.18.
UMass’ 4x400m relay team of Olivia Weir, Dimante Spencer, Elizabeth Gulino and Melissa Beaupre finished first in 4:03.33.
Tatiyanna Sanders long-jumped 18 feet, 3 inches to first place.
Kelsey Crawford was first in the shot put at 46-04.75 and the Javelin throw at 137-10.
Ibiyemisi Gbenebor threw the discus 136-07 to take first.
NESCAC Championship – Becky Golia finished third in the high jump at 1.63m, while Victoria Hensley was fourth in the 400m in 57.81 on Saturday.
NEWMAC Championship – Cassandra Narajno took fourth in the high jump at 5-00.25 for Smith.
Mount Holyoke’s 4x100m relay team of Mara White, Zakheya Allen, Destiny Williams and Donari Yahzid finished eighth in 53.97 seconds, and the 4x400m ream of White, Veneta Cholakova, Elizabeth DeLeon and Sunny Shan was eighth in 4:35.66.
UNH Pre-Conference Meet – 144 points sealed a first-place finish for UMass on Saturday in New Hampshire.
Morgan Marlow won the 1,500m run in 3:56.92.
Benjamin Murphy topped the high jump at 6-04.75, edging teammate Cole Acoveno in a jump off.
John Chuma cleared 15-11.25 to win the pole vault.
Deion Arneaud jumped 22-03 to win the long jump.
NESCAC Championship – Jeff Seelaus was third in the 3,000m steeplechase for Amherst on Saturday, crossing the line in 9:30.8.
Mohamed Hussein took third in the 5,000m run at 14:50.98.
MASCAC championship – John Latour (Amherst) won the long jump (23-8) for champion Westfield State on Saturday.
UMass 8, Fordham 7; Fordham 5, UMass 0 – John Jennings hit a home run and drove in three runs for the Minutemen (13-20, 6-8 A-10) in a doubleheader split Saturday.
Wesleyan 4, Amherst 3 (8); Amherst 9, Wesleyan 1 (7) – Conner Gunn drove in three total runs on four total hits in a doubleheader split Saturday for Amherst (21-10, 7-5 NESCAC West) on Saturday.
UMass 11, La Salle 2 (5); La Salle 10, UMass 8 – The Minutewomen hit six home runs, setting a school single-game record, in the first game of a doubleheader split Saturday.
Kaycee Carbone, Tara Klee, Olivia Godin, Ashton Wince, Lindsey Zenk and Caitlyn Hickey left the yard for UMass (20-22, 12-6 A-10).
Wesleyan 3, Amherst 1; Amherst 9, Wesleyan 7 – Nicolette Miranda drove in three runs, as Amherst (23-10, 7-5 NESCAC West) split a doubleheader Saturday.
Middlebury 6, Amherst 3 – Kelsey Chen had Amherst’s only singles win 6-4, 6-1 in a home loss Saturday for Amherst (11-6, 5-2 NESCAC).
Williams 5, Amherst 4 – Zach Bessette, Aaron Revzin and Ben Fife won in singles play, but Amherst (14-8, 3-5 NESCAC) lost at home Saturday.
New England Championships – Smith’s varsity eight finished fourth in the petite final Saturday.
Mount Holyoke’s varsity eight (Kimberly Ho, Nicole Villacres, Julia Hecking, Sharlow Hitchcock, Claire Fahrner, Clare Zicari, Mira Kelly-Fair, Violet Gehr and Kelly Chambers) was 16th.
NESCAC Championship – Jack Burlison shot a 78 both days to land five shots back, as Amherst finished third as a team Sunday with 636 strokes in Middlebury, Vermont.
Middlebury won the event at 618, while Rodrigo Andrade won the individual medal for Middlebury,
UMass won the New England Regionals on Sunday in Amherst, beating Harvard 15-10 on Sunday in Amherst.
The team will be the top seed at the USA Ultimate Collegiate Nationals over Memorial Day weekend in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Freshman Tannor Johnson scored two goals and threw seven in the title game, and Ben Sadock scored three goals.
