The Williston Northampton softball pitcher hit a two-run homer and struck out 12 in a 14-0 win over Deerfield on Saturday at Deerfield.

Morgan Fisher and Gabby Jones each drove in four runs on three hits.

Delaney Belinskas scored three runs and had two RBIs for Williston (4-2).

Williston 12, Pomfret 5 โ€“ Cody Cavanagh hit two home runs and drove in four runs in a home win Saturday.

Chris Espinal also homered for the Wildcats (6-2).

Derek Zewinski had three hits, while Mike Mieczkowski, Ian Ostberg and JT Chamberlain had two hits each.

Boys Lacrosse

Williston 16, Pomfret 7 โ€“ Nick Garofano scored four goals and dished out three assists in a home win Saturday.

Brian Sullivan accounted for six points with four goals and two assists, while Jake Ross (Florence) picked up 12 ground balls for the Wildcats (4-5).

Williston 4, Westminster 3 โ€“ Nikhil Sierros, Joey Robbins, Justin Park and Nithish Raja all picked up victories for the Wildcats (3-4) on Saturday.

Girls Golf

Williston 5, Westminster 0 โ€“ Sabrina Sampson shot a 36 to become Willistonโ€™s medalist Saturday at the Southampton County Club.

Sarah Sullivan fired a 40, while Nancy Kang and Atah Okaisabor each had 44s for Williston (7-3).

Girls Water Polo

Suffield 12, Williston 7; Staples 10, Williston 8 โ€“ Abbie Cosica scored nine total goals in two losses Saturday.

Lizzie Cuevas put in her first goal of the season, made two assists and had three saves against Suffield.

Leeanna Albanese had five assists against Staples, while Dylan Fulcher-Melendy (Easthampton) made 10 saves against Staples and four against Suffield.
