A vehicle crashed into a utility pole Sunday afternoon bringing down wires and sending the driver to the hospital.
The crash occurred at 4:24 p.m. on South Maple Street according to Hadley Police. The driver, whose name police declined to release, was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton with unknown injuries following the accident. No other cars were involved, police said Monday morning.
The Amherst Fire Department responded to the crash and Eversource Energy was contacted after the crash brought down power lines on South Maple Street.
