SOUTHAMPTON – James R. Labrie was elected to the Select Board on Monday, filling the seat currently held by Chairwoman Elizabeth Moulton who did not seek reelection.
There were no contested races in Monday’s annual town election, and 22 other candidates also were elected to office.
A total of 706 ballots were cast in the election, or nearly 16 percent of the town’s 4,424 registered voters.
Labrie was elected to a three-year term, joining Select Board members Shannon Cutler, Charlie Kaniecki, John Martin and Jacqueline Sears, none of whom were up for reelection this year.
Robert K. Floyd was reelected to a one-year term as town moderator.
Incumbent Kristine Canton was reelected to a four-year term as almoner
Incumbent Joanne M. Spath was relected to a three-year term as assessor.
Newcomer Benjamin J. Hogan was elected to a three-year term on the Board of Health. Incumbent Lisa Marie Lauro did not seek reelection.
Pamela Gaspar was elected to a three-year term as cemetery commissioner. Incumbent Christopher Bowen did not seek reelection.
Jared Hamel will serve as constable after receiving 18 write-in votes, as there was no candidates on the ballot. There were 19 other write-ins.
George A. Symborski was reelected to a three-year term to the Hampshire Council of Governments.
Sharon Blais-Sulikowski was elected to the Finance Committee for a three-year term. She will be joined for three years by Heather Pellegrini, who was elected with 10 write-in votes. There were six other write-ins for those two positions.
Janet Cain was elected to a one-year term on the Finance Committee. Incumbent Amanda Kemp did not seek reelection.
Incumbents Teresa Barton and Debra Pinsky were elected to three-year terms as Edwards Public Library trustees, as was newcomer Jeanne Murray. Lucinda “Cindy” Palmer was elected to the fourth trustee seat with 17 write-in votes. There were nine other write-ins.
Gail Santoro was elected to a five-year term on the Park Commission with 15 write-in votes. There were 18 other write-ins. Incumbent Roger Ball Jr. did not seek reelection.
Incumbent James J. Palermo was reelected to a three-year term on the Personnel Policy and Procedure Board.
Keith Locke was elected to a five-year term on the Planning Board.
William Curran was reelected to a five-year term on the Hampshire Regional School Committee.
Kathy Saltis was elected to a three-year term on the William E. Norris School Committee with eight write-in votes. Incumbent Cheryn Wojick did not see reelection.
Virginia Ahart was elected to a one-year term on the Norris School Committee. She was appointed to that seat last year.
Incumbent Tree Warden Ronald D. Laurin was reelected to a one-year term.
Kurt Boisjolie was elected to a three-year term on the Board of Water Commissioners. Incumbent Thomas Neill did not seek reelection.
