SOUTH HADLEY — An Easthampton man will face multiple drug charges after South Hadley police allegedly removed the man’s vehicle for safekeeping after he was transported to an area hospital for treatment following an April 27 service call.
The man faces charges of possession involving heroin, cocaine and prescription medication, as well as a charge of intent to distribute heroin. The case was detailed in a police post on social media Saturday morning.
South Hadley police said they do not release names of suspects before they have been arraigned.
Officers responded to the area of Lamb and Gaylord streets for an unspecified call for service at 8 p.m. April 27, according to police.
There they allegedly found the man being treated for an injury. The man was later taken to an area hospital for further treatment.
Officer Ben Tucker took an inventory of the man’s vehicle while removing it for safekeeping, police reported. During that inventory police say drugs were found in the vehicle, along with packaging materials.
The man will be summoned to appear in Eastern Hampshire District Court.
No one at the South Hadley Police Department was available Sunday to provide further details, an officer said.
