Anna Kerwood took care of things in the circle and at the plate as the Northampton softball team pulled away from Amherst Regional, 15-2, Monday in Amherst.

Kerwood gave up just one hit and two walks, while striking out nine. She helped herself with three hits, including a triple, an RBI and four runs scored.

Marissa Badorini (two hits) and Abby Pelis each drove in a run as Hamp (6-5) took advantage of seven errors for Amherst (0-13).

Hampshire 2, Chicopee Comp 0 (8) — In extra innings, Bri Bergeron hit a two-run single to give the Raiders the road win.

Bergeron finished 3 for 4 with two RBIs.

Chelsea Moussette and Danielle McGan had two hits each for Hampshire (12-0, 3-0 Suburban).

Alexis Ferris struck out 17 and only gave up one hit in eight innings.

Mahar 14, Hopkins Academy 7 — Erin Tudryn went 4 for 5 with an RBI but the Golden Hawks lost at home.

Kelsea Cristoforo added two hits and an RBI while Lauren Sieracki doubled for Hopkins (1-9, 1-6 Franklin).

Palmer 6, Granby 2 — Mallory Beauregard’s leadoff infield single in the seventh broke up Savannah Cavanaugh’s perfect game, and following a walk to Emily Sawyer, a two-run double by Kate Sullivan ended the shutout but the Rams (7-6) fell on the road.

Abi Beauregard struck out three, walked four and allowed three earned runs in defeat.

Pope Francis 7, Gateway Regional 4 — Trailing 4-1, the Cardinals (7-5, 5-2 Bi-County West) scored six runs in the fifth to take control and win at home.

Amelia Haradon’s two-out suicide bunt with the bases loaded scored Krista Jasek, who beat the tag and tied the game at 4-4.

Karleigh Schulen, of South Hadley, followed with a two-run go-ahead single.

Alexa Keough struck out eight walked none in the win. She was also 2 for 4 with a triple and an RBI.

Gabby Dame was 3 for 4, while Audrey Gamble was 2 for 4 with two RBIs for the Gators (2-9, 1-4).

Easthampton 13, Smith Academy 5 — Sydney Slattery had three hits, scored three times and drove in two to pace the Eagles in Hatfield.

Ashley Higgins had three hits and drove in two runs for Falcons.
