Willy Wright made sure the Amherst Regional boys lacrosse team’s losing streak didn’t reach three games.

He scored five goals and dished out two assists in a 12-4 win over Belchertown on Friday in Belchertown.

Adian Bass also had a hat trick for the Hurricanes (4-10), while Jake Hibberd made eight saves.

Ben Magarian scored twice for Belchertown (5-7), and Christian Assimus made 21 saves for the Orioles.

Granby 15, McCann Tech 5 — Nick Roberts and Sawyer Mahan scored five goals each in a home win.

Bailey Ortensi also added two goals and an assist for the Rams (4-7).

Nick Alberts made 13 saves.

Girls lacrosse

Granby 17, Pope Francis 7 — Kate Sarnacki scored five goals, including the 200th of her career, to go along with four assists in a home win.

Emily Whitacre and Hailey O’Connor added three goals each for the Rams (8-4, 6-1 Pioneer), while Mya Fillion made six saves.

Belchertown 16, West Springfield 14 — Emma Jopson scored eight goals and added an assist in a home win.

Audrey Duhaime chipped in four goals for the Orioles (6-8, 2-4 Valley), and Jordan Veiss stopped nine shots.

Softball

Agawam 2, Belchertown 0 (5) — Tiffany Mann was hit by a pitch, as the Orioles (2-12) were no-hit in a rain-shortened road loss.

Boys volleyball

Southwick 3, Belchertown 2 — Anthony Hosmer totaled 34 kills in a 26-24, 27-25, 14-25, 17-25, 15-7 road loss.

Drew Duquette dished out 41 assists for the Orioles (6-11) to go along with seven kills and five blocks.
