Amherst

A 12-foot, 7-inch-high truck got stuck beneath the 10-foot-tall overpass that carries the Norwottuck Rail Trail on South East Street near Stanley Street at 7:09 p.m. Monday. Police said a tow truck was called to remove the vehicle and the state Department of Conservation and Recreation was notified about possible damage to the bridge. 

A man came to the police station at 5:56 p.m. Sunday to report his MacBook Pro was damaged when his former girlfriend poured a beer onto it after they broke up.

Four men near a home under construction at the corner of State and Mill streets at 3:06 a.m. Sunday, including one who was holding a wooden stake, told police “they were trying to find adventure.” They were sent on their way.

Ryan P. Christian, 44, of 179 Summer St., Apt. 3, was arrested at 2:20 p.m. Saturday at Kendrick Park on a warrant after police said he allegedly urinated in the park and yelled obscenities at a passer-by.

Easthampton

Heather A. Wuerth, 31, of 67 Briggs St., was arrested on warrant on Briggs Street at 2:28 p.m. Tuesday.

A 28-year-old Springfield woman will be summoned to court on charges of operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle and attaching wrong plates to a motor vehicle after a traffic stop on Mountain Road at 2:18 a.m. Sunday.

A 30-year-old Holyoke man will be summoned to court on charges of a marked lanes violation, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked license (subsequent offense) and failing to wear a seat belt after a traffic stop on Mountain Road at 1:35 a.m. Sunday.

Northampton

Police responded to a call in the vicinity of Shop Therapy, 189 Main St., about an incapacitated man lying on the sidewalk at 8:02 p.m. Monday. When police arrived, Elijah C. Snow, 25, 80 Damon Road, Apt. 4102, was arrested on a charge of having an open container of alcohol on a city sidewalk. Police said Snow was clutching an uncapped water bottle filled with clear liquor in one hand and orange soda in the other. He was also found to be carrying a half-empty bottle of Rubinoff vodka in his backpack, police said. 

Benjamin F. Torres, 31, of Shutesbury, was arrested about 8 a.m. Monday near Pleasant Street and Service Center Road for driving with a suspended license.

UMass

Michael Willard, 39, of 1 West Summit St., South Hadley, was arrested at 8:35 a.m. Thursday on Governors Drive on a warrant.
