2015-16 season highlights:Accumulated enough points throughout the season to win the PVIAC North Division title. Finished third overall at PVIAC individual championships after taking second in slalom and seventh in giant slalom. Qualified for state championships for third consecutive season, placing 24th in the slalom and 29th in the GS.
Denhart on the season: โI was definitely happy with my early results. First two slalom runs were really nice. I struggled a little in the GS and at Wachusett (for states), which was disappointing. High school is mostly about fun, and I had a lot of fun. … It was just fun to be around a lot of people that Iโve been skiing with for a long time and to continue to compete and have fun with it. … Skiing in general is a good skill to have. I hope I continue to use it to meet new people or develop relationships.โ
Coach Trixie Wessell on Denhart: โHe had a tremendous season. Right from the start his goal from the season was to win a race, which he did right off the bat. We consistently saw him in the top five at nearly every race. … With an athlete of Charlieโs level it is more of a collaborative project than it might otherwise be. Oftentimes we would confer on some kind of skill and more often than not he already knew or had a good sense of what he wanted or needed to be working on. He was very independent and self motivated.โ
