NORTHAMPTON — As high school prom season nears, the Northampton Prevention Coalition is bringing together staff from the city Police Department and Northwestern district attorney’s office for a presentation about underage partying.
The event is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Northampton High School cafe. Police officers and assistant district attorneys will lead a session — geared toward parents of high schoolers — about how law enforcement typically responds to reports of underage parties, according to the coalition.
Attendees will learn about the rights they have when and if police respond to such incidents.
Parents are also welcome to bring their teens, and Bueno y Sano will cater the event,according to the coalition.
