Police responded to The Vault at 135 Main St. at 3:36 p.m. Saturday, after an employee reported a woman stole a Pink Floyd tank top valued at $18.

Police were called to Ford of Northampton at 968 Bridge Road for reports of vandalism at about 8 a.m. Saturday. One of the dealership’s vehicles was missing four rims and tires, valued at around $3,700, according to police. And windows of three vans on the lot were smashed, apparently giving the thieves access to a jack to remove the tires. The incident remains under investigation.

Joseph Blake Parsons, 27, of Ludlow, was arrested at about 2 a.m. Saturday after police allege he sped out of the Union Station parking lot, making his tires screech, going through a stop sign and running over a curb with both passenger-side tires. Police said he was charged with operating while under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, driving with a suspended registration, driving without insurance, not meeting motor vehicle safety standards and failure to stop.

Police patrolling Strong Avenue at 12:06 a.m. Saturday saw a fight break out. Police allege that David Robert Ribeiro, 24, of West Springfield, charged two other men and pummeled them with his fist. One of the men was sent to the hospital for six stitches above his left eye. Police said Ribeiro was arguing with his girlfriend in the street when the two men interceded because they did not like the way he was talking to her. Police said Ribeiro smelled strongly of alcohol when they arrested him on charges of two counts of assault and battery and disorderly conduct.

Serena Gabriella Desantis, 35, who is listed as living in the streets of Northampton, was arrested at 7:50 p.m. Friday after allegedly attempting to steal lip balm, lighters and mints from Wal-Mart, police said. Officers allegedly found those items hidden in her purse and three wax paper bags containing heroin in her pants pocket. Police said Desantis is charged with shoplifting by concealing (third offense) and possession of a Class A drug (subsequent offense).
