Alexis Ferris loves pitching against Chicopee Comp.

For the second time in two years, the Hampshire Regional softball standout was perfect against the Colts.

On Monday, she struck out 16 for her fourth career perfect game in an 8-0 win over Chicopee Comp in Westhampton.

“My rise ball worked really good today. I went into the game wicked confident,” Ferris said. “It was a good feeling knowing I did my job today. It’s a league game, so obviously it’s big.”

It was her fifth no-hitter of the season for Hampshire (16-2, 6-0 Suburban).

On May 15 2014, Ferris threw her first career perfect game against the Colts, an 8-0 win in Westhampton.

In 2015, Ferris had a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts vs. Comp at Hampshire Regional.

Earlier this month, she struck out 17 and allowed one hit over eight innings in a 2-0 win over the Colts in Chicopee.

Ferris’ second perfect game came in a five-inning win over Ludlow last season. She was also perfect in a five-inning win over Belchertown earlier this month.

On Monday, Katy O’Connor went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, while Taylor Boutwell scored two runs and also went 2 for 3.

Frontier Regional 13, Hopkins Academy 12 — The Red Hawks outslugged the Golden Hawks in a road win.

Sarah Meunier went 3 for 5 with a double and a triple for Frontier (10-6, 9-3 Franklin)

Kelsey Jarvis had three hits, including a triple and two RBIs for the Red Hawks.

Macy Ring led Hopkins, going 3 for 4 with two RBIs and a double, while Margaret Michalak had three hits with two RBIs.

Greta Kurtz chipped in with two hits and three RBIs for Hopkins (1-16, 1-12 Franklin).

Gateway Regional 7, Sabis 6 — A big fifth inning gave the Rams a road win.

Seven consecutive batters reached for Gateway in the five-run fifth inning.

Audrey Gamble, Chelsea Edinger and Gabby Dame had two hits for Gateway (4-16, 2-9 Bi County West).

Gamble gave up three earned runs and struck out six in the circle for the Rams.

West Springfield 13, Amherst 0 — Five errors hurt the Hurricanes (1-14, 0-5 Valley) in a home loss.

Pope Francis 9, Central 6 — Alexa Keough struck out 10 and didn’t allow a walk while driving in two runs in a home win.

Krista Jasak hit a two-run triple in the sixth inning, while Moriah Brown had three RBIs for Pope Francis (10-6).

South Hadley 10, Granby 8 — Jaiden Plamondon hit a double and picked up three RBIs in a home win for the Tigers.

Ari Williams and Nicole Niemiec had three hits for South Hadley (5-12).

Niemiec struck out seven in her six innings of work.

Mallory Beauregard went 2 for 4 and scored two runs for Granby (9-9).

Longmeadow 14, Belchertown 2 — Emma LeBlanc led the Orioles with two hits in a road loss.

Delaney O’Brien had an RBI for Belchertown (2-15, 1-5 Valley Wheel).

Chicopee 8, Northampton 5 — Anna Kerwood and Abby Pelis both had two hits for the Blue Devils.

Pelis, Anna Connly, Calista Lebron, Allie Vanasse and Maddy Subocz drove in a run each for Northampton (11-8, 5-2 Valley Wheel).

Baseball

Frontier Regional 9, South Hadley 4 — Nolan Muzyka went 2 for 4 with three RBIs and a triple in a home win.

The Red Hawks (13-3, 5-3 Hampshire West) moved within a game of South Hadley (14-4, 6-2 Hampshire West) in the league standings.

Seth Gewanter (3 for 4, three runs, double), Noah Barnes (3 for 3, three runs, two stolen bases) and Brandon Bryant (3 for 4, two RBIs) contributed to the Red Hawks’ offensive effort.

Adam Pilachowski led South Hadley with two hits and two RBIs.

James Foley scored two runs, hit a double and drove in a run for the Tigers.

Southwick 4, Hampshire Regional 0 — Matt York had a hit in the Raiders’ road loss.

Brandon Weyant pitched three scoreless relief innings for Hampshire (8-7, 4-4 Bi-County South).

St. Mary 12, Gateway Regional 1 — Tyler Heeter drove in the Gators’ only run in a home loss.

Joe Rutherford-Bean had a hit for Gateway (4-14, 1-6 Bi-County North).
