Two mistakes cost the Easthampton baseball team a win Tuesday against Smith Academy at home.
The Eagles led 1-0 in the sixth inning before a passed ball allowed Harry Adams to score the tying run and a balk brought in Thomas Hammond for the winning run.
The Falcons prevailed 2-1 to clinch a spot in the postseason.
Kevin Ferrara picked up the win on the mound for Smith Academy (6-10, 6-2 Hampshire East), allowing three hits and the one run.
Shy Torres singled and scored in the first inning for Easthampton (7-10, 4-5).
East Longmeadow 6, Amherst 0 — Max Hopley collected two hits to lead the Hurricanes (4-12, 2-8 Valley).
Granby 9, Putnam 3 — Joe Desormier and Matt Bleakley tallied three hits and two runs scored each in a road win.
Joe Bessette and Noah Bleakley each drove in two runs on two hits for the Rams (16-2, 6-0 Bi-County West).
Frontier 6, Turners Falls 4 — Jake Rowe went 2-for-3 for the Red Hawks with two runs scored and two RBIs in the home win.
Rowe also had two stolen bases.
Nate Patterson picked up the win on the mound, striking out seven.
Kyle Spencer recorded the final out to pick up the save for Frontier (14-3, 6-3 Hampshire West).
Hopkins Academy 2, Belchertown 1 — Noah Scanlon-Dean scored both of the Golden Hawks’ runs in a road win.
Patrick Michalak had two hits for Hopkins (10-7, 4-5 Hampshire West).
South Hadley 4, Greenfield 2 — Teddy Doyle had a three run triple for the Tigers in a road win.
Ryan Mooney came on in relief to pick up the win for South Hadley (15-4 7-2 Hampshire West), striking out three.
Amherst 1, Longmeadow 0 — Aliya Barton gave up one hit and struck out 14 in the Hurricanes road win.
She added a hit at the plate for Amherst. Anjali Tyner had a RBI ground out.
South Hadley 2, Holyoke 1 (8) — Mikhalia Edge and Jaiden Plamondon had RBIs in the Tigers’ extra-inning home win.
Nicole Niemiec pitched eight innings, gave up one run and struck out three for South Hadley (6-12, 2-4 Suburban)
Longmeadow 19, Belchertown 1 — Audrey Duhaime scored in a home loss for the Orioles (6-12).
Kailey Pacheco made four saves for Belchertown (6-12)
It was the final game for seniors Emma Jopson, Kate Bowers, Nicole Beaudoin, Sam Bodde, Emma Cyr, Duhaime, Jackie Johnson, Sarah Fournier , Pacheco and Abby Robinson.
Minnechaug 18, Northampton 5 — Megan McCarthy had two goals and an assist for the Blue Devils in a road loss.
Bridget Harrington made six saves for Northampton (11-7, 2-6 Valley Wheel).
Agawam 17, Amherst 4 — Megan Sharick scored twice, and Taya Mathers made eight in a road loss for the Hurricanes (4-15).
Jane O’Connell and Malia MacDonald also scored for Amherst.
