Northampton

Officers at the police station on Center Street heard a “loud, angry scream” coming from the alley between the station and the Interfaith Cot Shelter at 9:11 a.m. Monday. Officers found Judith Denger, 46, who lists her address as the streets of Northampton, yelling repeatedly after she allegedly ripped a metal “no smoking” sign off the exterior wall of the shelter. Denger was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and malicious destruction of property under $250, police said.
